Stellar Converter for MBOX helps in reducing the size of converted file with the help of ‘Apply Filter’ option. Users can save the converted PST file for a particular Date Range or exclude data from particular email addresses.
Follow these steps to reduce the size of MBOX file while converting to Outlook PST:
- Open Stellar Converter for MBOX
- Select the MBOX email client for the conversion to Outlook
- After viewing preview of the scanned MBOX file
- Go to home menu and Click on ‘Save Converted File’ – select the desired file format for saving
- Click ‘Apply Filter’ link in the Save dialog box
- The Apply Filter window opens
- The following two options help in reducing the size of MBOX file or extracting the emails of the specific time period while converting to PST file:
- Date Range - Specify the Date Range in the ‘From’ and ‘To’ Field – the date range option allows saving the PST file by including or excluding the data for that period.
- Exclude Emails from Mailboxes – Allows specifying the email addresses to exclude communications from these in the converted PST file
Reduce converted PST as per Date Range:
Specify the date range in the ‘To’ and ‘From’ fields.
- Select ‘Include’ option from the drop-down menu to save the data of the converted files for the specified date range. All e-mails that are sent and received in the specified time period will be stored.
- Select ‘Exclude’ option from the drop-down menu to exclude the converted files for the specified date range. Emails sent or received in the specified time will not be stored.
Exclude Emails from Mailboxes
Enter the address for single or multiple mailboxes in the box specified below the ‘Specify senders to be excluded from all mailboxes’ followed by clicking the ‘Add to List’ and ‘Ok’ button.
Using these two easy options, you can reduce the size of MBOX file or filter emails data as per your need before converting it to Outlook PST file.
