Stellar Converter for MBOX is a powerful software for migrating mailboxes from MBOX email clients to Microsoft Outlook. The software achieves this by converting MBOX files into PST files. It also allows to extract and save specific or selected mail items to PST.

Steps to save selected MBOX mail items to PST by using Stellar Converter for MBOX:

  1. The main interface of the software display “Select MBOX” dialog box. Select the desired mail client from the drop-down list. Alternatively, click the “Find” button to locate the MBOX file.
  2. Once the Email Client is selected, click Select Identity or Select File to locate the identity or file.
  3. You can select multiple MBOX files. The selected files along with path and size are displayed in the form of a list
  4. Click “Convert” to initiate the MBOX to PST conversion process.
  5. Once the file is converted, the software displays the file-content in a three-pane structure. 
    • Left Pane: Lists all the folders available in the MBOX file.
    • Center Pane: Lists all the mail items of a particular folder.
    • Right Pane: Displays the details of the selected mail item. Then, Verify the mailbox items.
  6. Go to the main menu and click “Save Converted File”. A “Save As” pop-up window will appear with options to save the converted MBOX file in “New PST”, “Existing PST”, “EML” or “MSG” format. Select the option “New PST” and click on “Next” button.
  7. “Choose Destination” will open with an “Apply Filter” link. Click on the link and Apply Filter dialog box will open. This link will help to move particular MBOX mail items to a new PST file. Emails can be selected based on the following two factors:
    • Date Range
    • Exclude Mails from specific senders
  8. Perform the following steps to choose the emails based upon specific “Date Range:
    • Specify the Date Range in the “From” and “To” fields
    • Select Include to include all the emails that are sent or received in the specified period.
    • Select Exclude to exclude all the emails that are sent or received in the specified period.
    • Click “OK”
  9. Perform the following steps to exclude the emails based upon specific senders:
    • In the section Exclude Mails from Mailboxes, type the email address of the sender whose emails are not to be saved in the PST file.
    • Click Add to list.
    • Repeat the process to add additional email addresses
    • Verify all the email addresses and click OK
  10. Once the software has saved selected MBOX mail items, a “Conversion Completed” pop-up window will appear with a message: “Selected items converted and saved successfully.”
  11. Click “OK” to complete the process.

Stellar Converter for MBOX has moved the selected MBOX items to PST file at the specified location.
