Step 1: Run Stellar Repair for OLM. The initial interface gives you the option to ‘Browse’ the OLM file. In case you close this window, you can click the ‘Open File’ icon from the application toolbar and click ‘browse’ again to select corrupt OLM file.
Step 2: The 'Select Outlook Backup File' dialog box opens. Select the OLM file, you want to repair and click the 'Open' button.
Step 3: The path of the selected OLM file is displayed in the 'Select OLM File' text box. To start the repairing process, click the 'Start' button on the bottom left corner of 'Select Outlook Backup File' dialog box.
Step 4: A dialog box indicating the progress of the repairing process open up. After successful completion of the process, a summary report is displayed with the information regarding the number of mail components recovered. Close the summary message box by clicking the 'Close' button.
Step 5: You can preview the mails, address book, calendar, notes, and tasks by clicking the corresponding icon from the tool bar. Click any on them, the left pane of the interface shows all the sub-folders in the corresponding folder. The center pane shows the items in the selected folder and the right pane shows the content of the item selected.
Step 6: To save the repaired mail objects, click the 'Save Repaired File' icon from the toolbar.
Step 7: A destination folder dialog box opens. Provide the destination at which you want to save the recovered data. All the recovered mail components in the selected OLM file are saved as a file, 'Main Identity.rge'.
Step 8: At the destination location, if another file exists with the same name, then a message box pops up to confirm replacing the existing file.
Step 9: Click 'Yes' to replace, 'No' to save the new file at a different location.
Step 10: After saving the repaired file, a process completion message is displayed.
