  • Step 1

    Home Screen

    This is the home screen of Stellar Repair for Exchange software. Click Browse to select the EDB file if you know the file location. Click the Find button if you don't know the location of the EDB file. The software will automatically find and show all the EDB files stored in the selected volume, folder, or sub-folder. You can also change the 'Temp Path', if the database is large.

  • Step 2

    Select EDB file

    Select the EDB file you want to repair and click Next.

  • Step 3

    Select Scan Type

    On the next screen, you will see two options for scanning - Quick Scan and Extensive Scan. The Quick Scan option is fast and the Extensive Scan is for comprehensive scanning of severely corrupt EDB file. Choose the scan option as per your needs and click OK.

  • Step 4

    Mailboxes Preview

    When the scanning process is finished, the software will list all the recoverable mailboxes in the left pane. You can preview the recoverable data. Then, select all or specific mailbox items that you want to recover and click Save under the Home tab.

  • Step 5

    Export to Live Exchange

    On the Save As window, select the Export to Live Exchange option and click Next to export the recovered mailboxes to live Exchange Server.

    Enter Login Details

    Select the Outlook profile with Administrator privileges, enter the password, and provide details of 'Domain Controller' where AD is installed. Then, click Next.

  • Step 7

    Map Mailboxes window

    The software automatically maps the users' mailboxes on the destination Exchange Server. It also provides option to manually map the mailboxes, create mailbox, or apply filters before exporting. After doing the changes, click Export to proceed.

  • Step 8

    Proceed for Mailbox Export

    A Confirmation Mailbox Export dialog box will appear. Click Yes to confirm.

  • Step 9

    Saving Mailboxes

    In the Save dialog box, you can view and manage the queued mailboxes. You can click on the Remove button to stop exporting the pending mailboxes.

  • Step 10

    Mailboxes Saved Window

    A Process Complete dialog box will appear, displaying the export summary. Click OK to close it. It also provides an option to resume saving mailboxes, if pending mailboxes were removed during the export.

  • Step 11

    Export to Microsoft 365

    Select the Export to Microsoft 365 option from the Save options and click Next to export the recovered mailboxes to Microsoft 365 accounts.

  • Step 12

    Select Configured Outlook Profile

    Select the Outlook Profile with Administrator privileges and click OK.

  • Step 13

    Map Mailboxes window

    The software automatically maps users' mailboxes on the Microsoft 365 Server. It also provides option to manually map mailboxes and apply filters before exporting. After doing the changes, click Export to proceed.

  • Step 14

    Saving Mailboxes

    In the Save dialog box, you can view and manage the queued mailboxes. You can click on the Remove button to stop exporting the pending mailboxes.

  • Step 15

    Mailboxes Saved Window

    A Process Complete dialog box will appear, displaying the summary of saved mailboxes. Click OK.

  • Step 16

    Export as PST

    Click Save from the Home menu and select the file format (from the given options) in which you want to save the recovered mailboxes. For example, select Save as PST to save the recovered mailboxes in PST format.

  • Step 17

    Browse Location & Auto Split PST file

    Click Browse to select the location where you want to save the PST files. Then, click OK. Select Auto Split PST File, if you want to split the converted PST file into smaller segments.

  • Step 18

    Save Mailboxes Window

    In Save Mailboxes window, you can set or change the priority of mailboxes. By default, the mailboxes are listed in alphabetical order.

  • Step 19

    Saving Status of Mailboxes

    A Save window with 6 columns is displayed. Here, you can remove the mailboxes in pending status from the list by clicking the Remove button or stop the entire mailbox saving process by clicking on Stop All button.

  • Step 20

    Mailboxes Saved Window

    A Process Complete dialog box will appear, displaying the summary of saved mailboxes. It also provides an option to resume saving mailboxes, if pending mailboxes were removed during the export. Click OK to complete the saving process.

  • Step 21

    Export to Public Folder

    Select Export to Public Folder from the Save options and click 'Next' to export recovered mailboxes to Public Folders on the destination Exchange Server.

  • Step 22

    Select Configured Outlook Profile

    Choose the configured Outlook profile with Administrator privileges and click OK to start exporting Public Folders to the destination Exchange Server or Office 365.

  • Step 23

    Data Exported

    On the Process Complete dialog box, click OK.

  • Step 1

    Select Hosted Exchange and Enter login details

    Select Hosted Exchange to export mailboxes from an online EDB file. Select Connect to Single Mailbox or Connect to Single Mailbox from Connection Options

  • Step 2

    Enter Admin Email and Server Name

    Enter Admin and Server Name (for Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003, 2007) or tick "Exchange Server 2010 and higher" checkbox to enter Admin Email, Server Name and Password (for MS Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019). Click OK.

  • Step 3

    Check Connected/Disconnected Mailbox Status

    After establishing the connection with Exchange Server, Next window displays list of connected and disconnected mailboxes. Click "OK" to proceed.

  • Step 4

    Check the Preview of all Mailboxes

    Check the preview of all mailbox items- Emails, Calendars, Contacts etc.

  • Step 5

    Select “Save as PST”

    Click Save from Home Ribbon and Select Save as PST option. Click "Next" to proceed.
