4.2. Repairing Corrupt Files

When you successfully add the required PDF files to the list on the main screen, they can now be repaired using Stellar Repair for PDF.

Note: The software does not affect the original file during the repair process.

Steps to repair PDF files:

1. Run Stellar Repair for PDF.
2. See Adding Files for Repair, to add the PDF files.

3. The added PDF files will be listed as shown below. With  you can select/unselect all the PDF files. You can also individually check/uncheck against the required checkbox for selection.

4. Click Repair to start the repairing process.
5. A progress bar indicates the repairing progress. In case you want to stop the ongoing process, click Stop.

6. After the repairing process is completed, all the PDF files with their status are displayed on the screen.
   • PDF file with the following status indicates:
     • Repaired indicates the file is successfully repaired.
     • Encrypted indicates the file is secured and cannot be repaired.
     • Junk File indicates the file is junk and cannot be repaired.
     • Queued indicates the file is in process to be repaired.   

7. A successful completion of repaired files is shown by a dialog box with a message 'Selected PDF files repaired successfully'.

8. Click OK to view the list of repaired PDF files.
