  1. What does Stellar Data Recovery for Android do? 

    Stellar Data Recovery for Android is an easy to use application. It is designed to recover or save Photos, Videos, Audio, Messages, Contacts, Call History and Documents. It can recover data from your Android device in an efficient manner. It uses efficient algorithms to perform a thorough scan of device memory to recover as much data as possible.

  2. Can I activate the Stellar Data Recovery for Android offline?

Yes, in case you are facing issues with the online activation of Stellar Data Recovery for Android or do not have an internet connection, you can activate the software offline. See Activating the Software for more details.

  1. Can I recover a specific file with help of this software?

    Yes, to recover a specific file you can select that particular file using the checkbox in front of each file while previewing the scanned files and select Save button.

  2. Can the software recover only images from an android device?

    Yes, you can recover only photos from your android devices. Select Photos option from Select What to Recover screen to scan and recover the files according to your criteria.

  3. How can I open the USB Debugging Mode?

You can open the USB Debugging Mode in a number of ways depending on the version of your Android OS.

  1. Why is my device not recognized?

If you're facing connectivity problems with your android device and your computer, it could be due to the following reasons:

  1. Your USB cable might not be working properly. Re-plug your USB cable to connect the device. If the issue persists, check for any visible damage or try using a new one.

  2. Your android device might not be connected to the computer with proper settings, connect your android device to the computer as File Transfer/ MTP when the Use USB as notification pops up on your android device.

  3. USB Debugging might not be enabled. Please enable the USB Debugging. If you don't know how to do, please refer to Enabling USB debugging in an Android device section for more details.

  4. Make sure the right driver installed in your computer.

  1. How can I recover only deleted data?

    Using Stellar Data Recovery for Android, you can recover deleted Photos, Videos, Audio, Messages, Contacts, Call History and Documents from your android device in an efficient manner using the Deleted List radio button in the preview window. After scanning, the software shows preview of all the data that can be recovered. To recover only the deleted data, select the Deleted radio button from the preview window and select all the files with deleted icon. Click Save to start the recovery process. See Previewing and Saving the scan results for more details. However, the software might not be able to recover the deleted data if data deleted is overwritten by any new data.

  2. Can I preview messages before recovering them?

    Yes using Stellar Data Recovery for Android software you can preview Photos, Videos, Audio, Messages, Contacts, Call History and Documents before recovering them.

  3. In how many formats can I save the contacts after recovering them using Stellar Data Recovery for Android software?

    Using Stellar Data Recovery for Android, you can save the contacts after recovering them in CSV file format.

  4. Do i need to root my android device to use Stellar Data Recovery for Android?

No, Stellar Data Recovery for Android does not require you to root your device to perform the recovery process. However, you need to enable USB Debugging option in your android device for the software to work effeciently.

  1. I can only see the thumbnails after scanning. How can i view my scanned data?

You can only view thumbnails after scanning using the demo/trial version of the software. You need to buy the software and use the activation key to activate the software in order to save the scanned data and then you can view it check using the file's default software.
