4.6. Resolve Errors

When using Stellar Remote Forensic Imaging, maintaining a stable VPN connection to the remote system is essential to ensure uninterrupted processes. If the connection is disrupted, a reconnection prompt will appear on the screen, providing options to resolve the error and reconnect the systems.

Follow these steps to reconnect the systems:

1. Reconnection Prompt: If the system's connection is lost, the Reconnection prompt will appear on the screen. This prompt presents two options for re-establishing the connection.
   
   

2. Option Selection:

   • Connect to Same IP: If you intend to reconnect using the same IP address, select  radio button.

   • Connect with New IP: In case of a VPN disconnection and the generation of a new IP address, select   radio button. Enter the newly generated IP address in the provided space.

3. Initiate Reconnection: After selecting the appropriate option, click the to initiate the reconnection process.

4. Reconnection Process: Upon clicking the systems will attempt to establish a connection using the selected method. The reconnection process may take a moment, depending on the network stability and configurations.
