3.2. Install the Setup

Installing the .exe file of the software from the official website is straightforward. Visit the official website and download the setup, which is free. The steps to install the software are discussed below.

Follow the Steps, to Install the Software

1. Navigate to the product's official website and search Stellar Remote Forensic Imaging.

2. On the product page, locate and click Free Download. This action will initiate the download of an executable (exe) file to your system.

3. Double-click on the downloaded file to begin the installation process.

4. User Account Control dialog box appears, asking for your permission to install the setup. Click Yes, the screen will go blank for a few seconds and the Stellar Remote Forensic Imaging Setup Wizard will appear.

5. Click Next in the Setup Wizard. The License Agreement dialog box appears on the screen.

6. Read the License Agreement carefully, select the I accept the Agreement radio button, and click Next.

7. Specify the location on your system where installation files can be stored. A suggested location is provided by default, but users can customise this by clicking Browse to select a different location. Once the location is set, click Next.

Note: Make sure you have enough Disk space required for the software.

8. In the Select Additional Tasks dialog box, select optional tasks to include in the installation process like creating a shortcut. Then, click Next to proceed.

9. Review your selections and If you need to make any changes, click Back to return to the previous steps. Click "Install" to initiate the installation process.

10. Once the installation is finished, you will receive a notification prompting you to click Finish on the Setup installer dialog box. This action marks the completion of the installation process.
