4.1.2. Select Mailbox Type

The Mailbox Types step allows you to select which mailboxes to migrate. You can migrate primary mailboxes, archive mailboxes, and public folders either separately or together, depending on your needs.

You can choose from the following mailbox types:

• Primary Mailboxes: Standard user mailboxes that contain active emails.

• Archive Mailboxes: Mailboxes that store archived messages for long-term retention.

• Public Folders: Shared mailboxes accessible by multiple users for collaboration.

Steps to select the mailboxes you want to migrate

1. Select the checkboxes for the specific mailbox types (Primary, Archive, or Public Folders) you want to migrate, based on your requirements. You can select them individually or together, depending on your needs.

Note: When you select Office 365 as the source server, migrate the public folders separately. Migrate them after completing the migration of the primary and archive mailboxes. You cannot migrate public folders with the primary and archive mailboxes in the same migration job.

2. Click Next to go to the Source connect, where you will configure the necessary connection settings to link to your source environment for migration.
