4.4.1. Dashboard Overview

The dashboard gives you a simple overview of your tasks. It shows the status of each job, including Job progress, mailbox progress and Job summary. You can track progress in real time, see remaining work, and estimate completion time. You can start, pause, or fix errors easily. Overall, it keeps everything on track and ensures a smooth migration.

The Dashboard is divided into two primary areas:

1. Vertical Navbar (Left Sidebar)

2. Main Content Area (Right Panel)

1. Vertical Navbar(Left Sidebar)

Display the status of jobs, including running, paused, stopped, and created jobs. Each status is represented by a specific color for easy identification.

The status of jobs is color-coded as follows:

• Green: Indicates the job is running or in progress.

• Orange: Indicates the job is paused.

• Red: Indicates the job is stopped.

• Blue: Indicates the job has been completed.

2. Main Content Area (Right Panel)

The main content area is where the primary information is displayed. It is divided into three sections:

A. Job progress 

This section displays a complete list of mailboxes included in the job, along with their statuses. The number of mailboxes listed depends on the conditions set in the Mailboxes step of the migration job wizard.

Field	Description
Action	Provides the option to either migrate or don't migrate. You can select your preferred option from the dropdown.
Source mailbox	The type of the mailbox migrated from (e.g.,user1@example.com).
Source type	The type of the source mailbox. ( e.g., Primary mailbox, Archive mailbox and Public folder)
Target mailbox	The destination mailbox where data is being migrated to (e.g., user2@example.com).
Target type	The type of the target mailbox. ( e.g., Primary mailbox, Archive mailbox and Public folder)
Migration progress	The percentage of migration completed (e.g., 75% complete).
Total items	The total number of items (emails, contacts, etc.) to be migrated (e.g., 5000 items).
Migrated items	The number of items that have been successfully migrated (e.g., 3750 items).
Filtered items	Items excluded from migration due to filters (e.g., age, size) (e.g., 150 items).
Failed items	The number of items that failed migration (e.g., due to errors or corruption) (e.g., 100 items).
Already migrated Items	Items already migrated in a previous batch and excluded from the current migration (e.g., 1000 items).
Start date	The date and time when the migration began (e.g., 1/9/2025 10:00 AM).
End date	The expected or actual end date of the migration (e.g., 1/9/2025 3:00 PM).
Migration status	The current status of the migration (e.g., In Progress, Completed, Failed).

 

B. Mailbox progress 

This section displays the mailbox progress details in the table below, providing a comprehensive overview of each mailbox's migration status.

Field	Description
Folder path	The path of the folder being migrated (e.g., Primary mailboxes\Calendar).
Total Items	The total number of items (e.g., emails, contacts) in the folder before migration.
Migrated Items	The number of items successfully migrated to the target mailbox.
Filtered Items	The number of items excluded from migration due to filters.
Failed Items	The number of items that failed to migrate due to errors or issues.
Already Migrated Items	The number of items already migrated from previous attempts and excluded from this migration.
Migration Process	The current status of the folder's migration (e.g., In Progress, Completed, Pending).
Failed Reasons	Describes the specific reasons for failure, such as corruption, permission issues, or format incompatibility.

 

C. Job Summary

The Job Summary section provides a comprehensive overview of the configuration for the selected migration job. It highlights key details such as the source and target servers, selected mailboxes, and any applied filters or conditions etc.

The Job Summary includes the following key details:

• Job: Includes the job name, job creation date, start date, and end date.
  Example:

  • Job Name: Job1

  • Created On: 10/25/2024 4:20:37 PM

  • Start Date: 10/28/2024 10:39:03 AM

  • End Date: 10/28/2024 10:39:03 AM

• Migrate Mailbox Type: Lists the types of mailboxes being migrated, such as primary mailboxes, archive mailboxes, and public folders. If any mailbox of these types is migrated, it will show "Yes."
  Example:

  • Primary mailboxes: Yes

  • Archive mailboxes: Yes

  • Public folders: No

• Source Mailbox: Displays the server type, server IP/name, and source login ID.
  Example:

  • Server type: Exchange Server

  • Server IP/Name: 192.168.1.10

  • Source login id: user@sourcecompany.com

• Target Mailbox: Displays the server type, server IP/name, and target login ID.
  Example:

  • Server type: Office 365

  • Server IP/Name: outlook.office365.com

  • Target login id: user@targetcompany.com

• Map Mailbox: This shows the mailboxes that were successfully matched during the migration.
  Example : "user@sourcecompany.com" matched to "user@targetcompany.com"

• Filter settings: Includes the date filter and folder type filter applied during the migration.
  Example:

  • Date Filter: Migrate all items

  • Folder type filter: Migrate all items

• Max concurrency: Control the number of concurrent mailboxes used during migration.
  Example:

  • Concurrent mailboxes: 5 

Note: You can adjust the size of each panel and section by dragging its edges.
