Stellar Migrator for Exchange
You can either use Autodiscover to automatically connect to the target Exchange Server, which simplifies the process and ensures accuracy. Alternatively, you can manually enter the necessary details, such as the IP address/ Exchange Server name, Email address, and Password. The manual method provides more control but requires careful attention to avoid errors. Autodiscover is recommended for most users due to its ease and convenience.
Note: To migrate multiple mailboxes, ensure you have the necessary admin credentials, including impersonation rights, which allow Stellar Migrator for Exchange to access and manage the mailboxes for users.
Autodicover Email: Autodiscover Email simplifies the setup process by automatically locating the correct server settings using your email address. There's no need to manually enter server details, such as the IP address or Exchange server name. Use the Autodiscover email option to connect with the Exchange server using your email address and password.
To use the Autodiscover Email method, follow these steps:
Select the Use Autodiscover Email checkbox.
Enter the Email address and Password for the target server.
Note: Ensure that the account you want to migrate is properly impersonated
Tip: To view the password, click and hold the eye icon in the password field.
Click the Validate button. Once the validation is successful, the Validation Check indicator next to the Validate button will turn green, indicating that the connection to the target server has been successfully validated using the provided credentials.
Click Next to proceed to the Target Mailboxes step, where you'll see the preview of fetched target mailboxes.
Note: Ensure your domain is properly registered with Microsoft’s DNS to allow Autodiscover to work correctly.
To connect to the target server manually, follow these steps:
Enter the IP address / Exchange Server name.
Note: To obtain the exact Exchange Server name, run the Get-ExchangeServer command in the Exchange Management Shell (PowerShell).
Enter the Email address and Password for the target server.
Tip: To view the password, click and hold the eye icon in the password field.
Click the Validate button. Once the validation is successful, the Validation Check indicator next to the Validate button will turn green, indicating that the connection to the target server has been successfully validated using the provided credentials.
Click Next to proceed to the Target Mailboxes step, where you'll see the preview of fetched target mailboxes.
