Stellar Merge Mailbox for Outlook
To login to your online accounts such as Gmail and Yahoo! Mail in the software, you need to perform some prior settings.
Note: No prior settings are required to login to Office 365 and Outlook.com. However, to connect Office 365 account ensure that MS Office 2016 and above is installed on your system.
To make your Gmail account accessible by Stellar Merge Mailbox for Outlook, you need to enable IMAP and turn on “Less Secure App Access” from your Gmail account.
a. Steps to enable IMAP:
Login to your Gmail account.
Go to Settings and click Forwarding and POP/IMAP tap.
From IMPA access section choose enable IMAP option.
Click on Save Changes button to save the settings.
b. Steps to turn on “Less Secure App Access”:
Go to your Gmail Account.
Click on Profile Icon and select Manage your Google Account.
A Google Account page opens, from the left pane click on Security menu.
Go to Less secure app access section and turn “allow less secure apps” ON.
Once the above settings are completed, go to the Stellar Merge Mailbox for Outlook and list your Gmail Account for merging.
To access your Yahoo! Mail account on Stellar Merge Mailbox for Outlook, you are required to generate and use an app password. An app password is a long, randomly generated code that gives a non-Yahoo app permission to access your Yahoo account. You will only need to provide this password while signing in to Stellar Merge Mailbox for Outlook.
a. Steps to generate an app password:
Sign in to your Yahoo Account and go to Account info.
Click on Account Security menu from the left pane.
Go to the Other way to sign in section and click on Generate app password.
Note: If you have already created an app password, click Generate and manage app passwords instead.
Enter the app's name "Stellar Merge Mailbox for Outlook" in the text field and click Generate password.
A Single-use app password is generated.
Copy this password and note it down for further use.
Note: If you forgot to copy this password, you can’t recover it. In this case, you must regenerate the app password.
Click Done to close the window.
Once an app password is generated and copied, go to the Stellar Merge Mailbox for Outlook and list your Yahoo! Mail Account for merging.
