4.4.2.1. Create a New Task

Stellar File Eraser provides the option to schedule new tasks as many as you want. 

Steps to create a new task:

1. Run Stellar File Eraser.

2. Select Schedule Erasure from Select Option tabs displayed on the left pane of the screen.

3. Select Erase Files & Folders tab from the Schedule Erasure window.

4. There are two options under Select Option section:

   1. New Task

   2. Existing Task

5. New Task option is by default selected. If not selected then select this option. 

6. Enter the task name in Task Name field.

7. From Choose Items section, click Browse and select the desired file or folder and click OK.

8. The list of selected files and folders will appear. Use Browse button to add as many files or folders you want.

9. Check/Uncheck against the respective file or folder that you want to erase. 

10. Click Next.

11. Schedule the erasure task. Select the Frequency using the Run drop-down list:

• Select Once to run scheduler once.

• Select Daily to run scheduler daily.

• Select Weekly to run scheduler every week.

• Select Monthly to run scheduler every month.

• Select Every Boot to run scheduler at every startup.

12. From Start from, select Date and Time of scheduler.

13. Click OK. On successful completion, "Task scheduled successfully" message is displayed.

14. Click OK to finish the process.

Note: A scheduler Summary with Task Name, Status, Trigger, Next Run Time, Last Run Time is created everytime when you task a schedule.
