4.3. Erase Deleted Data
Erasing Free Space is cleaning up the free space from your system that includes deleted files and fragments of data. When you delete data from your hard drive, it is not entirely removed and can potentially be recovered. The traces of the data persist on the hard drive until are overwritten or erased. Use Erase Free Space option to completely erase the deleted data beyond recovery.
Steps to Erase Deleted Data:

Run Stellar File Eraser .

Select Erase Deleted Data from Select Option displayed on the left pane of the screen. All the connected drives consisting of free space are displayed as shown below:

Select the desired system's volume you want to erase for its deleted data.

Click Erase Now to start erasure process.

A confirmation message "This action will erase selected data permanently" appears. Click Proceed to start the erasure process.

A progress bar appears with the status of erasure process.

After successful erasure completion, Erasure complete dialog box appears. Click OK.
- Process Completed window appears with the Erasure Summary of deleted files. Click OK to finish the process.
