4.14.2.2. Remove Privacy Data

It contains all browser files, such as cookies, browsing history, download history, etc.  Removing these files prevents unauthorized access to personal information such as the login credentials, saved preferences, etc. by the third parties. It also helps to optimize the performance of the browser thereby giving user a smooth browsing experience.

Follow the steps to use Privacy feature

1. To begin, click View Details under the Privacy checkbox. Deselect the Privacy checkbox if you don’t want to remove private files.

2. Privacy screen appears. All the private junk file names are listed in a box along with their Count.

3. Review all the listed files and deselect any important file which you don’t want to delete.

4. Click  Clean at the bottom of the screen to start the cleaning process.

5. Confirmation dialog box appears. Click Remove to confirm to remove selected files.

6. Remove Files progress dialog box appears depicting the removal of selected files. If you want to stop the removal process, click Stop.

7. Once the files are removed, Removal Complete dialog box appears on the screen to confirm the selected files have been successfully removed. Click OK.

8. Click  Back button located at the top left of the screen to close the current screen.
