4.14.2.3. Perform Speed Optimization Tasks

It contains all the recommended tasks which you can perform to improve the speed and efficiency of your MAC device. These tasks are discussed below:

• Flush DNS Caches: It removes stored information of the previously visited websites. Flushing DNS caches allows the operating system to access latest information from DNS servers instead of resorting to previously stored information which can be inaccurate sometimes.

• Mail Reindexing: It improves the performance of email application by organizing the email box.

• Spotlight Reindexing: It improves search functionality by rebuilding the index of files. Rebuilding ensures fast and accurate search results.

• Free Up RAM: It removes all the current unnecessary processes running in the memory to free it up. Removing unnecessary processes ensures smooth performance of the system.

 

Follow the steps to use Speed feature

1. To begin, click View Details under the Speed checkbox. Deselect the Speed checkbox if you don’t want to perform Speed increasing tasks.

2. A screen appears listing the recommended tasks that you can perform to improve your Mac.

3. Check the tasks that you want to perform on your Mac.

4. Click  Clean at the bottom of the screen to start the cleaning process.

5. Confirmation dialog box appears. Click Remove to confirm to remove selected files.

6. Remove Files progress dialog box appears depicting the removal of selected files. If you want to stop the removal process, click Stop.

7. Once the files are removed, Removal Complete dialog box appears on the screen to confirm the selected files have been successfully removed. Click OK.

Tip:  Before cleaning the junk files review all them carefully to avoid cleaning any important data.
