SpeedUp Mac
Use this feature to remove unwanted large files, duplicate files, cache files, language files, etc from the boot and non-boot volumes.
1. Run SpeedUp Mac.
2. Click Preferences from the menu bar. The General Preferences window appears.
a) Boot Volume : The scanning can be performed on Caches, Logs, System Junk, Manage Extensions, Trashes and Leftovers, Language Files, Large Files, Mail Attachments, iTunes Junk, Downloads Junk, Photo Junk and Duplicate Files. Check against the appropriate checkbox for scanning.
b) Non-Boot Volume : The scanning can be performed on Language Files, Large Files, and Duplicate Files. Check against the appropriate checkbox for scanning.
3. Click OK to return to the launching page and select a suitable volume from the left pane of the screen.
4. The Volume Details appears, click Scan button.
5. While scanning, the software displays files of the selected volume and the progress status.
6. Click Stop button if you do not want to continue the process.
7. Once the scanning process is completed, the software lists the scanned files of the selected volume.
8. By default all the files are selected, uncheck the files that you do not want to clean up.
9. Click on CleanUp Now button to start the process.
Note: When large files are selected for cleanup, Remove Large Files screen is displayed as shown below. Choose from the available options and click OK.
Note:
If you want to create the shortcut for the removed large files, then select the Archive and move large files to specifies location. Create alias radio button.
If you want to permanently remove the large files, then select the Remove large files permanently radio button.
10. A warning message is displayed. Click Yes to give your confirmation.
11. "Process Completed Successfully' message is displayed after the Successful deletion of the selected files and displayed details of count and size of files removed. Click OK to use all the options of the software that have been unlocked after the activation.
12. Click OK.
