Or, File system errors can occur on the SD card, causing data corruption. This can happen due to improper ejection of the SD card from a device or a failure in the file system itself.
I downloaded the software to hopefully recover photos from an SD card that stopped working with 200 – 300 once-in-a-lifetime images on. However, when I tried to run the software, I got the message that the card wasn’t recognised and that I needed to format the card.
It had been formatted when I first popped it in the camera, so what am I supposed to do? Is my card beyond help? Could the card manufacturer themselves trashed the whole card when they tried their data recovery service?
