      1. Hey, It doesn’t seem to work. Every time I select a drive to scan, it asks me to unlock it, and then when I click scan, it asks me to select the drive. This happens every time and I can’t get past this stage.

        1. Hello Adam, if you have locked your drive with a password so you will have to open it every time whenever you want to recover deleted data from your locked drive. To pass this stage you will have to remove the password from the drive. Thanks

      2. Hi Visha, I gave my macbook in repair and everything stayed but my imovie, all my videos are gone and they were important. How can I recover it through Stellar? Please help and thank you.

      3. Hi Vishal,
I have checked the recycle bin, there is nothing, I found that the time machine was not checked to back up automatically.
Every now and then I find Imovie project disappear and I am sure I didn’t delete them. I have some projects very important for work and I cant find them.
I thought that Imovie don’t need to save the projects. Is there any solution please.
        Thanks

        1. Hi Carmen,
As we know no save option in the menus for iMovie. That is because the project is automatically saved to the computer hard drive as we work. After we finished working on iMovie project, then we can share it to a number of places, including our email, iTunes, and our external device.

And our unsaved project we can find in iMovie Library. To do so open iMovie > Go Project Library. All edited project will be displayed in this section. It will take some time for iMovie to load all the projects. Thanks

      4. Nice blog! This blog gave me really in-depth important information. Now I know how can I recover the imovie project. Thanks.

      5. Hey Vishal,
I accidentally deleted my iMovie project. I read your blog and checked manually, which you mentioned steps. I don’t have a time machine, so I used your software. Finally, I recovered it. Thank you very much for this informative blog.

      6. I have a different problem: every time I reboot (due to a power cut) all my DELETED videos are restored soon iMovie and I have to delete them AGAIN

        1. Hi Sonja,
To do so, you need to mark the video as “rejected,” move it to the Trash, and then empty the Trash so that the video is deleted from your hard disk. After it’s deleted, the video can’t be restored. Thanks

      7. You could just open iMovie, click edit and click ‘undo delete project’. Much simpler, I don’t know if it works for long term recovery, but if you just deleted it by accident very recently it your project returns to the project page on iMovie.

      8. I accidentally deleted a project from iMovie(latest version) and trashed it. Is there any possible way to retrieve it?

        1. Yes, iMovie project can be restored by using Stellar Mac Data Recovery software. Download the software and follow the procedure mentioned in the blog.
