“Over more than half of my pictures have turned into an unreadable form. two ways to repair Corrupt Pictures

Let’s look into each one by one —Manual Driven Approach

      • Connect the SD Card to Another Device: At times, the SD Card shows incompatibility with the current device: so connect with another device to check whether it is a compatibility issue.
      • Try chkdsk: Run command prompt, select the “Run as administrator” option, type chkdsk followed by the drive letter, colon, and /f at command prompt corresponding to SD Card, and press Enter. It will check the possible errors and fix them.
      • Assign a New Drive Letter: In case your SD is in an unreadable state, go to OS Setting and assign a new drive letter to the connected Card.
      • Unlock the SD Card: Sometimes it might be possible that you probably have only read access i.e. your card is in write-protected mode. Thus, attempt to unlock it to save or modify it.
      • Format SD Card: To format the SD Card, use SD Card format Tool. However, make sure to back up your files before formatting.
      • Reinstall the Driver: It might be a Driver issue. Therefore, go to Device Manager, double-click the Disk Drive option, right-click on the Drive name and uninstall. Next, restart the system and reconnect the SD Card.

The above manual approaches are not sure-shot fixes; thus, they may or may not work.

        1. Hi Salaj,
We recommend scanning your phone with Google Play Protect and Uninstall any rogue apps manually. Also, Factory reset your phone to avoid such mishaps.

      1. Having a problem with my Galaxy M23. Photos stored on the SD card rapidly get corrupted and deleted. But only photos! Have tons of other files on the SD card (music, PDFs, DOC, XLS, etc) but when I copy a directory of images there, initially all are OK (view using photos app or on a PC connected through USB) but after a few minutes images corrupted and a bit later the directory will be empty. Already tried 3 different SD cards, but always the same problem: whatever I store on the SD card is OK, but the fotos get crrupted quickly and then disappear. What might be the problem here?

        1. Hi Marc,
I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with your Galaxy M23 and the photos stored on the SD card. There could be a few possible reasons for this problem.
It’s good that you’ve tried multiple SD cards, but it’s still worth checking if the SD card itself is the issue. Try using a different SD card reader or adapter to rule out any problems with the current one you’re using. Ensure that your Galaxy M23 has the latest firmware installed. Formatting the SD card can sometimes resolve file corruption issues.
